FolderBrander is an application that can customize Folder icons. It was designed with the purpose of enabling folders that are dragged to the Dock or the sidebar on Finder to be highlighted, so the user knows what a folder contains before clicking on it.
As you may know, when you drag a folder to the Dock, its stock icon is displayed. If you have multiple folders down there, it is easy to mix them up. FolderBrander solves that problem by letting you change the default icons. All you need to do is drag and drop the folder onto the application and add some text to it. You can specify what text you want the folder icon to show, what font you want to use, the size and color of the text and its position on the folder. You can even rotate the text any way you want.
Most of these settings are controlled via sliding bars, so it is really easy to preview your changes before you apply them. When you change the color you want to use for the text, you can select one in different ways. You can select the color from a palette or from a list of popular colors, among other ways.
Once you are done customizing the icon, you can apply the changes and even save the settings you used to apply them to other folders.
Used to automatically populate folder icons with the artwork contained in a folders audio files.
