There are 2 ways to access your Instagram from your Mac: by using your default browser and logging in to your account or by installing and using third-party applications, such as Flume. This program comes with a nicely-designed interface, lets you leave comments to your favorite Instagram pictures and videos, allows you to post photos and clips, etc.
You need to enter your Instagram account credentials only one time. Afterwards, each time you launch the program on your Mac, it will automatically log you in and give you access to the latest pictures and clips posted by your Instagram friends.
You also have the ability to mark the posts you like the most, share pictures that were uploaded by other Instagram users, search friends' accounts, and much more. The program also lets you unfollow or follow Instagram users and send private messages to your friends.
Unfortunately, the program isn't completely free. You need to make an in-app purchase to unlock the photo and video upload feature and the ability to switch between Instagram accounts.
In my opinion, you should first install the app, see how it works and looks, and then decide if it's worth making the aforementioned purchase or not. Personally, I think Flume is one of the best Instagram clients designed for Mac.
