Flare is a very good graphics editing tool for the Mac. It allows you to quickly edit your pictures and add effects to them. The only bad thing about it is that it doesn't seem to be able to open more than one image at the time, so if you want to apply effects to full albums, you will be a while.
Flare is good because you can just drag a photo onto the application and start editing it really quick. There aren't any unnecessary buttons or complicated features. When your image is loaded on the application, you can rotate it or crop it from the buttons below it. If you click on "Presets", you will find several effects that you can add to your pictures. You can edit most of them to make them less or more noticeable. The "Edit" button takes you to a complete image editor that allows you to touch up the image's color, brightness, etc. You can take "snapshots" of your images, which saves your progress for later.
Once you are done editing an image, you can save it as an image file or export it to Flickr, iPhoto or send it as an attachment in an e-mail.
