DaisyDisk 3.0

DaisyDisk is a Mac application that helps you find large-sized files, folders, and programs on your computer and delete the ones which you don't need anymore.

This tool comes in handy whenever you wish to reclaim space on your hard drive or USB stick with minimum effort.

The app brings a straightforward interface where your only objective is to select the drive or folder you wish to scan and wait for the program to do this. Once the scanning process is complete, the app launches a new window where you can find the results list and a nicely drawn pie chart.

DaisyDisk shows you the largest files, folders, and apps from your drive in a descending order. All you need to do in order to delete one of the large-sized items from the list is to drag-and-drop it on the bottom of the interface (the section under the pie chart).

I like the fact that the program doesn't take long to scan folders and hard disks. In my testing, I scanned a 100 GB hard drive and had access to my results after less than 2 minutes.

To sum things up, DaisyDisk proves to be a smart addition to my collection of applications. This program not only provides me with detailed info regarding disk and folder space usage, but it also helps me get rid of inessential files from my PC. What's more, the program comes with a very reasonable price.
