Aurora is a desktop tool that provides users with a simple and convenient functionality: it can play music tracks, video files, run an application at a given time and perform a system action. This makes it ideal for waking you up early in the morning by the sound of your favorite music or going to sleep while watching a movie and having Aurora shut down the computer for you.
The program has a friendly and intuitive interface divided into tabs. Using it is quite straightforward; simply create an alarm, complete with details regarding days of the week, time, volume, duration of the alarm and action taken after the duration (sleep, shut down, log out). Aurora automatically retrieves your iTunes playlists and can also run an application via simple drag and drop actions.
The application also has a few presets for iTunes and Quicktime media file playback settings.
