App Tamer is a Mac program designed to help you conserve battery power and reduce CPU usage. This application lets you pause the background programs which you're not using and make the apps you need to work with run more efficiently as they can use an increased number of available CPU resources.
On the main window of this tool, you can check the running applications and the amount of CPU resources they consume. A great thing about using App Tamer is that it automatically pauses software when you switch away from it and resumes it when you start working with it again.
By reducing the consumption of CPU resources, you get to save battery power. In the Preferences menu you will find various options which, if enabled, place a live icon on your Menu Bar giving you a better idea of the amount of CPU resources used for the current application.
To sum things up, my honest belief is that App Tamer makes a great addition to my collection of applications. This program successfully reduces the CPU resources usage, therefore, helps me save battery power.
