PDF Reader X is a free Mac program that enables you to open PDF documents on your Mac. Even though you can read PDFs with Mac's default image viewer, this application provides you with extra features which might prove to be of good use.
The utility enables you to import multiple PDF documents at the same time in separate tabs. You can search text content within the imported files, access their table of contents if available, make annotations, and much more.
In addition, the application allows you to print the imported documents directly from its interface or export them as JPEG or text files. This utility preserves the quality of the input files and immediately exports the output documents to the selected destination folder.
Unfortunately, this version of the program comes with several restrictions. For instance, there's a limited amount of tabs you can open and you cannot import or export PDF library. The only way to get rid of this inconvenience is to upgrade the application to its Pro version which doesn't cost much and offers you plenty of other useful features.
Taking into consideration the aforementioned aspect, I think it's up to you to decide if it's worth installing this free app on your Mac or not.
