Xilisoft Video Converter Platinum 6.6

Xilisoft Video Converter Platinum is a commercial video converter. It is Xilisoft's second most complete video converter, topped only by the "Ultimate" version.

It has a few features that the "Standard" version doesn't have and is missing quite a few that the "Ultimate" version does have. Other than this features that I will describe below, the three versions works well and look exactly the same (of course, there will be some more buttons here and there). They all have the same good format support, with tons of different conversion profiles.

This version comes with a video editor that allows you to trim or clip your videos. There is no support for cropping, and you can't add effects or watermarks. This trimmer works like a charm, you simply select the start and end points and the app can discard the rest and let you convert the clipped segment. You can also preview it, and add a clipped segment as a new file to your conversion queue. You can also merge different video clips using the video merger, and if you want, transition effects can be added.

All in all, this is a better converter than the "Standard" version because of the few more features that it comes with. It works well and it is fast.
