Wondershare MobileTrans is a utility that enables you to transfer data between your Mac and your iOS or Android smartphone. You can also use this program to back up the data from one media gadget to another, erase the contents of your old smartphone, and restore files from iTunes or iCloud backup files.

The tool is compatible with a wide variety of iOS, Android, Windows Phone or Symbian smartphone models, lets you transfer multiple types of files (images, videos, app data, etc.), and completes any given task without slowing down your Mac in the process.

Another important advantage is the fact that it helps you restore lost content from various types of backup files (from iTunes, iCloud, OneDriver, Blackberry or MobileTrans backup file).

Sadly, the utility comes with a couple of flaws. For starters, it might take a while to analyze the contents of the connected smartphone. Secondly, Wondershare MobileTrans doesn't offer you the ability to select individual files for the backup process. You can only select an entire file category (for example, photos) for the backup tasks.

Another disadvantage is that the program provides you with a limited amount of backup options. For example, you cannot change the destination folder for the backed up content, pause and resume the transferring process, etc.

Still, Wondershare MobileTrans might prove to be of good use if you ever need to copy content from an old smartphone to a new one or to back up your Android or iOS files to your Mac. Plus, it comes at an affordable price.
