Wake Up Time is a very simple but functional alarm clock app. It allows you to turn your Mac into an alarm clock that will play a sound when the alarm goes off. The main window has a very basic design, with a large display and large numbers. The clock can be set in 12-hour or 24-hour mode. There is a collapsable pane on the right that lets you set the alarm time, and choose the sound that you want to play. There are only three available sounds: Cosmic, Forest and Digital. There is a sound volume bar that you can use to set the volume and a Fade feature, which will slowly start playing the alarm and gradually turn the volume up when an alarm goes off.
One interesting feature is the application's ability to put your computer on sleep mode and waking it up when an alarm is due. There is a sleep button that you can click on that will put your Mac to sleep, but the application will also be able to wake it up if the sleep was caused by your system's settings or another app. It should be noted that Wake Up Time can't turn on your Mac if it has been powered off or if you have closed the lid.
In short, Wake Up Time is a great alarm clock. I love it because it is simple, and it works like a charm. It is one of the most popular free apps on the Mac App Store.

I just wish it were possible to minimise it to the Mac Menu Bar and use it instead of the default Mac Menu Bar Clock which simply doesn’t have an alarm function.
