Access a virtual printer with an option to generate different types of PDF files. Customize the process of document creation to get the desired data layout and content visualization. Send the materials directly tp printing on any Mac-compatible device.

VipRiser is a virtual printer that you can use to create PDF files from any application that supports printing. Thus, it can be used not only to produce new documents but also as a way to convert other types of files to the PDF format. The application is extremely unobtrusive as it runs hidden in the Menu Bar.

By clicking on its icon, it is possible to configure the output location for the documents. Luckily, it supports standard locations as well as network folders and even the Cloud. Likewise, you can set the virtual printer to start automatically with the system. What is more, it is possible to use a given pattern to name the output files or activate the option of compressing images.

Using the tool is not too different from sending documents to a real printer. Just go to the application’s Print menu command and choose VipRiser as a printer. Luckily, there is an option to create a PDF document from whatever is shown on the screen even if the active application does not allow printing. In such a case, you can use take a shot of the desired screen region and let the VipRiser turn it into a PDF document.

One of the greatest advantages of this tool over other virtual printers is that it supports Automator plug-ins. This way, it is possible to automate workflows with the subsequent increase in productivity. Similarly, it is also great that it allows printing PDFs directly from your iPhone or iPad (AirPrinting), or another computer.

All in all, VipRiser allows converting any type of document into PDF. Moreover, it lets you automate the printing process. Although the product is free, more advanced features are only available if you buy VipRiser PDF Ops. This means that VipRiser cannot split, merge or clip selected pages or convert to other formats.
