Topaz Glow is an image editor created for Mac users who wish to transform their pictures into stunning works of art. The utility gives you access to more than 50 artistic effects, features a straightforward interface and provides you with simple means to configure output settings.
This program works both as a standalone tool or a plugin. The latter can be accessed from apps like Photoshop CS4+, Corel Paintshop, Lightroom, etc. an used after you run Topaz Glow as a standalone editor. In Photoshop it can be found within the Filter menu.
The utility supports many image formats, from popular ones like JPEG, PNG and TIFF to CR2, CRW, DNG or MEF. You can choose from a variety of presets, each with its own set of output settings. The application lets you preview your image as you switch from one effect to another or alter you finalize the output settings.
The only thing I'd change would be adding more supported output formats. For now, the program supports only 3 output formats: JPEG, TIFF, and PNG.
In my opinion, photographers might find this image editor to be of good use. It helps them personalize their digital pictures with just a few clicks by adding neon effects, glowing backgrounds, and many others. Plus, the app might prove to be a smart addition to your collection of Photoshop plugins.
All in all, I think it's worth buying this program for your Mac if you're a professional photographer or graphic designer.
