TodoTxt is a free application designed for users who wish to easily keep track of their daily assignments directly from their Macs. The program enables you to create a list containing all the tasks you need to complete and lets you export it as a TXT file.
This utility features a New Task field where you can enter assignment information. After you click the Enter key, the application adds the task item to your list of chores. You can save the to-do list to your local directories as a TXT file in case you wish to share it via email or copy the document to your media device (mobile phone, tablet, etc.).
Another advantage is the fact that TodoTxt provides you with various sorting options (alphabetically, based on priority, etc.), set due dates and priority levels for your tasks, and lets you use the built-in search tool to easily find chores' info within the to-do list.
My only issue with this program is that you cannot set reminders for the tasks. You can attach a due date for the assignments, but you can't enable sound or display notifications for the to-do list items at a given hour.
Nonetheless, this application is free of charge and provides you with useful features. So, if the aforementioned disadvantage doesn't mean much to you, you should definitely try TodoTxt.
