Tipard Blu-ray Converter for Mac is a Blu-ray ripper that can also be used to convert video files and rip DVD movies.

Most of the Blu-ray rippers that I have tried are expensive and don't even allow you to rip DVDs, so when I learned that this one did that and also could be used to convert video files, I was very positively surprised.

The application's graphical user interface is almost identical to that of all the other Tipard converters that I have tested lately. The only difference is in the toolbar at the top of the screen. There are three buttons up there that let you load content. The first one can be used to load a Blu-ray movie, the second, a DVD movie, and the third one, video files.

Once your media is loaded, you can start setting conversion options. The input and output format support in this application is really excellent. In the case of DVD and Blu-ray movies, you can select individual titles and convert them to different formats, all in the same operation, which can be very useful at times.

The app features a video editor that lets you carry out basic editing tasks like trimming and cropping, and you can also use it to adjust brightness, contrast and saturation. It previews changes in real time.

The format support is great, and there are also a ton of conversion profiles for devices like the iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad, gaming consoles, smartphones, video players, etc.
