Tipard All Music Converter for Mac is an audio conversion tool. It can be used to convert your audio files between quite a few different formats, including AAC, AC3, AIFF, AMR, AU, FLAC, MP3, M4A, MP2, OGG, WAV, and WMA.
The application looks like all the other converters by Tipard that I have tried in the past. The user interface is almost identical to that used in video converter. This may not sound like a bad thing, but it means that the application wasn't specifically designed for the conversion of audio files. It looks like a repurposed converter.
You can load files by dragging and dropping or by clicking on the "Add files" button at the top of the screen. Once your files are added, you can select one of the conversion formats from the conversion profile drop-down menu at the bottom of the screen. The profiles are divided into a few categories. There are three lossless formats available: FLAC, WAV and WMA. If you want to, you can change individual conversion settings and create new profiles that you can save for later use on other files.
There is an editor that lets you trim your songs to shorter clips. The editor is identical to the one used in video converters, but the video options are disabled.
In my testing, I converted an MKV and an MP3 file into FLAC. The operations were performed quite quickly and the resulting file played well on my Mac. Conversions between audio files are almost instantaneous.
Pros
- Good format support (including video formats)
- Nice interface
- Fast
Cons
- The converter is basically a video converter modified to only perform audio conversion tasks, and it uses the same video editor that can be found in other video converters
