Time Machine is a default Mac program designed to automatically back up the data within your computer.

Unfortunately, it doesn't provide you with many settings. For instance, you cannot change the interval of time for the backup. For this reason, apps like TimeMachineEditor were created.

You can choose between 3 scheduling methods. The first one is called When Inactive and, in my opinion, is the most convenient method from all. It triggers Time Machine backups whenever you're not at your Mac. Hence, it doesn't interrupt your work.

The second scheduling profile is called Profile. It comes in handy if you wish to schedule backups at certain times of the day.

The last mode of operation allows you to schedule backups on a daily or weekly basis at a defined hour of the day.

After you select the preferred scheduling profile, click the ON button from the bottom side of the interface. The application will trigger Time Machine backups at the defined time and date.

I tested all scheduling methods, and they all worked perfectly. The program was very simple to configure and used minimum CPU resources.

In conclusion, you should give this app a try if you're looking for extra Time Machine options for your Mac.
