Things is a task management app for Mac OS X computers. There also is an iPhone and an iPad version of this app available on the App Store.

Unlike other task- and to-do management apps out there, Things makes it easy for the user to add tasks without worrying about settings or schedules. It has a very polished user interface that makes it easy for you to focus only on what you need to get done.

Although the application is simple-looking, it has an impressive list of features that make task management a breeze. There's scheduling and synching support, tags and projects, etc. Make sure you watch the screencast and the complete list of features on the developer's website.

I will mention some of the features that caught my eye. The first one is a system-wide quick-add window, which you can use to add new tasks to your list from any application. You simply hit a keyboard hotkey and a small window will pop-up from where you can quickly add a task. You can also add notes and set a due date for it from that window. But the great thing about it is that you can simply type what the task is, click enter, and continue working on something else. You can later go back to the app and customize the task in depth.

You can group tasks together in Projects. These will be listed on the left part of the screen, and the tasks that are due next will be shown in the next tab, too.

The dock icon shows the number of due tasks for easy access.

In short, Things is a great task management app for the Mac. It allows you to focus on your tasks and not configuring the app. Although not cheap, it is a time saver and a must-have app for people who have lots of to-dos running wild in their heads.
