The A Editor is a word processor that comes as an alternative to writing journal notes, to-do lists or content for your next novel by using Mac's TextEdit app.
You can use this program to create, edit or read RTF files. The app features many text styles, lets you undo as many text modifications as you like, and automatically searches grammar and spelling errors. Once you finish with your writing, you can export your work as a RTF file to any folder within your Mac.
After comparing this word processor with Mac's TextEdit app I noticed there wasn't much difference between the two programs. Both utilities offer you almost identical features, except TextEdit supports more output formats.
Another disadvantage is the fact that The A Editor occasionally freezes, especially when clicking the Print options from the main menu of the program.
Hence, I think you should continue working with TextEdit when it comes to writing notes, journal entries, etc. It isn't worth installing a third-party app like The A Editor when it offers you a small amount of features.
