TaskPaper is a handy application that allows you to create simple to-do lists, projects, notes, or whatever comes to your mind. Projects are groups of related tasks, so it's like categorizing several tasks under one category. These lists can also contain tags, which are any other information that you wish to add. Your projects or tasks will have a very simple format, since you cannot change the font, size or color. If you want to create a project, you need to type the title and then add a colon, so the text you write will be auto-formatted as you type. In the same way, if you want to add tasks, start the task with a dash followed by a space. For tags, you just start with an "@" symbol. If you don't write any symbol, the text will be considered a simple note.
The program also includes a feature not available in other text editors, which is the ability to drag items on your lists very simply by placing the cursor on the dashes for tasks or arrows for projects. To mark a task as done, you simply click on the desired tasks and this will be crossed out and the date of completion will be added as a tag. Moreover, if you have an iPhone, you can sync your tasks with it. The program has a simple and very easy-to-use interface which can be completely commanded using keyboard keys as shortcuts.
In short, if you are looking for a simple but comprehensive task organizer, TaskPaper may be an excellent choice.
