I couldn't find any disadvantages in this program. It is absolutely free and it is available on all Mac OS released since 1995. It keeps your important notes right in front of your eyes. Stickies can be come translucent (a degree of transparency) and visible on top of other windows in a collapsed form - so this important message is always in front of your eyes. Exacting users can select between different colors according to their organizing needs: for example, green notes for to-do lists, purple for errands, yellow for thought and so on. An ability to embed various objects, such as pictures, videos, and URLs makes this program absolutely fabulous. You can create your own diaries or collages that you can print out later on. You can edit texts and fonts.

Overall, this is a very flexible program with many cool features and not more than you need - a perfect set! You know how Apple produces quality products, so this is one of them. You can also use this program as a backup tool for your files etc. It uses its own proprietary database, so you can organize whatever you need to save within the notes in the database file format.
