We use all sorts of widgets to have information more accessible on our desktop, whether it's the weather forecast, a RSS feed or e-mail notifier. With Snippage however you can create your very own desktop widgets by capturing dynamic areas of any website. And what's more, it's completely free.
The application includes a built-in browser. Using Snippage is pretty much straightforward for anyone who has used a screenshot tool; simply move the rectangular area precisely over the web space you want to capture and press the Scissors icon. Note that the rectangle may be resized accordingly to the areas that require capturing.
Users can create as many snippets as they need and place them anywhere on the desktop. The program works with Flash, JavaScript, PHP scripts, as well as other dynamic web content.
Snippage is fairly lightweight, runs fast and is very simple to use. It requires the pre-installation of the Adobe Integrated Runtime and is designed for all users looking for a way to add a touch of creativity on their desktop environment.
