Smart Converter 2.2

Smart Converter is a simple utility designed for Mac users who wish to easily and quickly convert their media files to a wide variety of formats.

The application supports many video and audio formats, batch conversion, and immediately exports the media files you need without slowing down your Mac in the process.

You can import as many media files as you like (drag-and-drop them over the app's interface), choose from various output profiles, and select the preferred destination folder. In my testing, the program took less than 2 minutes to convert 3 clips. Hence, it works very fast. Plus, the quality of the input media files was carefully preserved.

Another important aspect is that you have access to various info regarding the media files you import. Just click the "?" button that's next to the title of the media file and the program will offer you the details you need. The information might come in handy if you need to know exactly the specifications of the imported files before selecting the preferred output profile.

However, the application lacks some important features. For instance, you cannot attach subtitle files to the converted videos and the program lacks video editing tools (some media converters offer you several editing options which you can use before launching the conversion process).

Still, Smart Converter comes without a price tag and provides you with quality results. So, in my opinion, it's worth giving it a try on your Mac.
