This nicely-designed Mac tool provides you with an alarm clock and a sleep timer. It proves to be of good use to people who have troubles falling asleep or find it difficult to wake up in the morning.
The main window of the program displays a clock showing the time and a set of tools on the bottom side of the interface. You can use the application to set sound alarms to remind you when it's time to take a break from your work or to complete a certain task. The utility lets you choose from a wide range of alarm sounds and video samples to be played in the background. Unfortunately, you cannot import an audio file from your Mac and set it as an alarm sound.
Sleep Alarm Clock also provides you with a nice, relaxing way to wake up in the morning. You can configure it to play a relaxing sound as soon as the alarm clock hits zero and wake up in a good mood.
Sadly, the program comes with an important disadvantage: it uses a significant amount of CPU resources (more than 10%).
Taking into consideration the two flaws I mentioned heretofore, I think that Sleep Alarm Clock still needs some improvements. You can find a wide range of Mac tools that provide you with more features and are free.
- Can be used in fullscreen or windowed mode
- You can set multiple alarms
- Plays ambient sounds and animated video
- Lets you adjust the alarm sound volume
- Uses a significant amount of CPU resources (more than 10%)
- Unable to set an audio file from your Mac as alarm sound
