This Menu Bar program was designed to help you share the titles of the songs that are currently played in iTunes, Vox, Spotify or other popular audio players. The application lets you post the tune information on your Facebook, Twitter or iMessage page, helps you discover new music, and enables you to define global hotkeys for immediately sharing song details.
Share Tunes sits quietly in your status bar, without using many CPU resources and offering you simple-to-configure settings. The first thing you need to do is provide the necessary Facebook, Twitter or iMessage credentials. Afterwards, you can start playing your favorite music in your default audio player and share the tune details with your friends.
An important advantage is the fact that you can post music info on Facebook, Twitter or iMessage by hitting a certain combination of keys. You can define global hotkeys on the Preferences menu of the application.
Another good thing is that you can choose which info to share regarding the song you're currently playing in your default music player. For instance, you can share only the artwork, artist and song names if you want to.
In my testing, the application worked perfectly. I tested the program for both iTunes and Vox players and shared music details on my Facebook and Twitter accounts.
Hence, it's worth buying this app if you're looking for an easy way to share info based on the music you're listening on your Mac.
