Shape Collage is a program for Mac users who need to create photo pastiches with their favorite pictures.
After you select the proper input files, you can adjust the collage settings to match your needs. The app lets you choose from various patchwork shapes (heart, rectangle, etc.), enter the proper height and width values, select a background image, and many other.
The thing I like about this collage maker is that it allows you to create custom pastiche shapes. By using the integrated brush tool you can draw any shape you like and save it as a PNG file. Then, you can select the created pattern and let the app generate the custom collage for you.
An important disadvantage of Shape Collage is the fact that it supports only three output formats when it comes to saving the resulted photo montage (JPEG, PNG, and PSD). Furthermore, you can't load PSD, SVG, PCT or DNG images as input files.
All in all, Shape Collage is an application that offers you a very simple way to make image collages. The app brings you plenty of pastiche options, allows you to preview the results before exporting or printing them, and offers you quality output.
