Screen Record-Studio 3.3
Old versionsSee all
Screen Record Studio is intended for capturing video from your screen. Likewise, it can also record any sound being played. The application is very basic both in terms of features and interface; so much so that I am sure you will not have any difficulty to use it, even if it is your first time. Unfortunately, though probably unnecessary, its help documentation in poorly written.
The main window has various tabs, which you can use to go straight to the desired feature. For instance, you can configure video output to the desired format, frame rate and scaling level. Likewise, you may choose the kind of selection from window, custom area or entire screen. There is another tab to set up to two audio sources and adjust their volumes. It is great that it also supports recording video from a camera as well as customize its appearance.
Another handy feature is that the tool can be set to record your mouse pointer. Moreover, it can visualize mouse clicks, which is great if you are designing a video tutorial to help someone use an application. Luckily, the application can be scheduled to start and stop recording automatically, which is particularly useful if you want to record a show being broadcast at a given time. Finally, all your recorded video can be accessed from the Library tab, which lets you access them for preview.
Regrettably, unlike other similar tools, Screen Record Studio does not come with many editing features. In this respect, the possibility of adding logos is not enough. You should know that other tools can also help you trim and cut the resulting videos.
All in all, Screen Record Studio comes with some features that you make it a good option for creating tutorials and presentations. However, you need another tool for complex editing operations if you wish to produce a more finished video. The product has a reasonable price and can be tried for a limited period of time.
