Roster is a Mac program that comes in handy when creating databases with fictional names. The application brings you a straightforward interface, generates any number of names you like, and lets you export the resulted list to your local directories.

This utility might also come in handy to people who are looking for names for their children.

You can fill in the empty fields (First Name, Middle Name, and Last Name) or leave them empty and select the proper amount of names you wish the utility to generate. The program lets you choose between two output formats for the list: CSV and TXT. After configuring the aforementioned settings according to your needs, you can click the Generate List and wait for the results.

In my testing, I selected the gender female, entered Rose as first name, and chose 10000 as the amount of generated names. The application took less than 10 seconds to generate the list and export it to its destination folder.

My only issue with this program is the fact that the generated names, not the ones you enter, aren't written with capital letters in the list.

In conclusion, it's worth installing this free utility on your Mac if you require an easy and efficient way to generate name lists.
