To paste a still image on your clipboard in a QT file, open the QT file and pause it on the frame where you want the image to appear. Then, take a screenshot of your computer screen (Command + Shift + 4 on Mac) and copy it to your clipboard (Command + C on Mac). Go back to the QT file and select "Edit" and then "Add to Movie". The still image from your clipboard should now appear in the QT file at the frame where you paused it.

Unfortunately, this issue seems to be related to the update you made and might be a bug in the latest version of QuickTime Player. You can try a few things to resolve it:
Restart your MacBook Pro and check if the issue persists.
Reinstall QuickTime Player and see if that fixes the problem.
Contact Apple Support or visit an Apple Store for assistance, as they may have further troubleshooting steps or a solution for you.
Keep in mind that QuickTime Player is an app developed by Apple, so reaching out to their support channels will likely provide you with the best assistance.
Is there any software that I need, to be able to play the Bluray movies on the Mac? If I wanted to view the movie on the Mac, QuickTime won't open it.

Yes, it's possible to watch Blu-ray discs or ISO's on the Mac with the help of VideoLan. Simply install the application, then go to Media > Open Disc (if you use a Blu-ray disc) or Media > Open File (if the Blu-ray is an ISO file or MKV). If the Mac is powerful enough, you will see seamless playback.
I'm a new Mavericks system user. I tried to open my .mov file from my old Quicktime .mov file (Quicktime 7) and now I have version 10.3, but there's no thumbnail, and when I click play it always converts the file. Does it mean that I have to convert all my old version .mov files? If yes, can I open or share these newer version .mov files to the lower versions?

If you have old versions of MOV files created with QuickTime 7, then these files will be converted and adapted for playing on the newer operating system. You can convert them to the new format but you can't go backwards after this process. When opened in Quicktime 7, you will either receive an unsupported file format message or you will need to upgrade to the latest Quicktime version in that OS.
How do you remove unwanted clips on Quicktime Player 10.3?

Quicktime doesn't keep a library of the files opened, but it has a history with the files you have opened. To clear it simply go to File > Open Recent > Clear Menu and Quit the application. Next, open a MP4 or other file and the history should look empty (the only file is the one you've opened recently). This is the only way to clear the "database" with clips from the Quicktime Player.
I created a movie using Final Cut Pro X 10.0.8, on Mac OS Extended (journal) Version 10.08.4. The movie is 1hr 20min and when I try to export (share) it, an error message keeps coming. I tried with Apple devices as well as master default but didn't work with both. The Error message is as follows: "The Share Operation Apple Device 1080p has failed Error message QuickTime:-50" or "The Share Operation Master Default has Failed Error message QuickTime:-50". What should I do?

In order to fix the problem, select a video file from the timeline and click Reveal in Finder from the context menu. Once your current project appears in Finder, delete all files within the folders render files and transcoded media, close the application, empty the Trash, launch the program again and try to export. If it doesn't work, go to the Applications directory, select Final Cut Pro X and click Get Info. Check the box that tells you to disable AppNap and try again. If the problem persists, access the official forum for further solution.
Before downloading the respective codecs, make sure you are running Mac OSX 10.4 or higher as these are not available for versions prior to the one mentioned. Download the codec and install it following the on-screen instruction. On its official website you also have manuals on how to configure and install these codecs.
It seems that you can listen to the 3AW radio station live only on the official website. There is no way to load the station anymore to a player on your computer for a live streaming session.
How do I set the QuickTime Player to record a webinar at a specific time?

You cannot schedule the application to perform recording. However, to record, first start QuickTime Player and wait for the webinar to start. With a few seconds before starting, go to File > New Screen Recording then press Record button. Once the recording is over, you can find your files in the Movies folder.
The WMA and WMV format is exclusively used by Windows Media Player and operating system. The QuickTime won't play the files because you lack codecs for this job. In this case, you have two possibilities:
Inform the sender to convert the file to MP4 format, that's supported by QuickTime
Install VLC for Mac, save the WMV file to your desktop and then play it with this video player.
Microsoft recommends buying a video player, but as long as VLC is free and does the job normally, there is no point in doing that.
