QMidi is a simple Mac application designed to help you play MIDI and Karaoke files on your computer. The program lets you import audio and video files, enables you to create and save playlists, and comes with a comprehensive help guide which comes in handy if you're new to this type of Mac utilities.
After you load your media files they are added to a list which you can save to your local folders. You can use the integrated search tool to easily find an imported video or audio file within a playlist.
QMidi also gives you access to a wide variety of mixing options. You can adjust sound volume, reverb and chorus levels, etc.
The only audio format I couldn't import into this program was OGG. The rest of the files, with extensions like MP3, AU, FLAC, M4A, WAV, M4R, and AIF, were immediately loaded.
The list of the supported video formats is also short as MKV, FLV or SWF files cannot be imported and played within QMidi.
Another thing I didn't like about this application was the appearance of its interface which looked a lot like the one for a Windows program.
So, in my opinion, you can find better solutions for playing MIDI and Karaoke files on your Mac.
