Progressive Downloader is a powerful download manager for Mac OS X that should speed up your downloads.

You can use it to download files from specific URLs. It allows you to schedule downloads, set post download actions, limit the download speed or run file hash check before starting the download process.

It comes with a practical and nice looking interface. The tabs are well organized and it has multi-coloured LEDs that indicate the download status. The program supports HTTP, FTP, SFTP and MMS protocols. It provides almost any feature you may expect from a download manager. You can schedule downloads and set priorities in order to take multiple downloads and you can specify post download action like close the application or shut down the computer. A very useful feature is the multi-thread downloading. With it you can get faster downloads because every thread can use its own server. The program also features a mirror-search which allows you find alternative sources for failed downloads.
