Pomodoro Technique is a method that breaks down the working time into intervals which are separated by short or long breaks. This technique proves to be very efficient especially for people who work long hours in front of their Mac computers. It improves their productivity and helps stay healthier. Pomodoro One is a Mac app that reminds you when it's time to take a break from work and relax, away from your screen.

The program brings you a nicely-designed and intuitive main window and a small panel just under your Menu Bar. You can choose the preferred work and break intervals of time within the Settings menu.

I like the fact that the application keeps track of your work and break overall time. You can find intervals' details for the last and current week within the Stats window.

There's also an option to display the amount of time you have left from your work or break on your Menu Bar, next to its icon. This way, you can always know how much time there's left from your break or work session.

Another important aspect is that you can start, pause, and stop the timer whenever you like from the main menu of the app or its interface. Once the timer hits zero, the program plays a sound notifications and reveals its main window on top of any other running application.

All in all, I'd say it's definitely worth installing this free utility on your Mac. Pomodoro One is very simple to handle and configure, works perfectly, and immediately lets you know when it's time to go on a break or back to work.
