PodSalvage is a great Mac OS X tool for audio data recovery. The app recovers deleted files, damaged volumes, and even formatted disks. An exhaustive scan of the iPod is performed to locate lost partitions and files. You are presented with view files and you can then copy your lost files to another safe location such as your iDisk, external drive, or a networked drive.
