SimpleCalc is an application very much true to its name. It provides a robust and minimalistic environment for performing basic mathematical calculations. Using it is quite straightforward; simply type the expression you want to calculate and press the Return button on your keyboard. Note that there are no digit buttons, or any buttons for that matter are on its interface. It does, however, include a few enhancements of its own like support for calculating expressions and the use of variables.
Users can perform copy and paste actions within PlainCalc. The utility automatically cleans up the pasted text of any commas and dollar symbols.
You can create multiple worksheets with just one instance of the program opened. From the file menu, PlainCalc may format integers as decimals or hex values.
All the stored variables and functions can be displayed on the interface or removed altogether from the memory.
Users may also modify result and error colors from the program's Preferences panel and set their display timeout in seconds.
Shortly, PlainCalc is most useful for basic algebraic calculations. It is free, intuitive and straightforward to use.
