PixelStick is a small ruler app designed for Mac that helps you measure distances and angles within your screen. Unlike other tools from its category (most of them embedded in other programs which are expensive, such as Photoshop), this application comes as a cheap measuring solution for graphic designers, biologists, photographers, etc.

By working with this simple to configure program, you can easily drag the endpoints and use the tool vertically, horizontally and at any angle to measure distances.

PixelStick also includes an eyedropper tool that helps you detect the exact color under your mouse cursor and copy it in various output formats to the clipboard. You can then paste the colors on programs that support CSS, RGB, RGB hex, and HTML formats.

A significant advantage of using this application is that it works in any launched program and anywhere on the screen. Additionally, PixelStick supports the scaling in Google Maps, Yahoo Maps, and Photoshop.

PixelStick is a very simple to use yet effective program that lets you measure distances within your screen. The application is easy to configure, its results are accurate, and the price is reasonable.
