PDF Split and Sort is an application designed to help you split large PDF documents into multiple files containing selected pages. Therefore, you can preserve as separate files only the pages that you need so you can access the information faster, without browsing large multi-page PDFs.
The utility doesn't resemble common splitting tools so you may find the app rather difficult to manage at first. However, this impression changes once you get used to it. Therefore, prior to enabling the split operation, you need to define the structure of the target folder. Namely, you need to create subfolders where to save the outputs. Otherwise, you don't get any results. Having the output folder configured, you can load the PDF you wish to process, select the desired pages, and determine the subfolder where to save the resulting file. Selecting pages is done exclusively by clicking on the page preview. As determining the page range is not supported, you can't rearrange the pages into a desired order. Another drawback is that you can't add a new file from the main window. This operation is done exclusively from the status bar.
To conclude, PDF Split and Sort allows you to extract pages from large PDFs in order to get multiple smaller files which you can handle much easier.
