PDFpen is a utility that allows you to view and easily modify PDF files.
The application offers a large array of options where editing PDF documents is concerned.

You can modify text, assign URL and page links to selected words, highlight areas of special importance, insert blank pages, page numbers, comments and notes. Text can be edited by using actions such as "underline", "strike through", "squiggle", and parts of the text can be blocked to view by covering the words in black. Where images are concerned, you can crop them, skew them, modify their contrast and exposure, among others, and add effects to them. PDF documents can also be split into several or merged one with another. When choosing the "split" option, each page will become a standalone PDF document. A few drawing tools are also available, such as line, polygon and rectangle.
PDFpen is indeed a great utility for working with PDF documents, as it offers you several options for editing them, with focus being placed both on text and images, as well as on the entire document, with "split" and "merge" functions being enabled.
