PDF Squeezer is a PDF compression utility. This application compresses the images included in PDF files to reduce their size, and, thus, reduces the sizes of the PDF files.

Compressing images is the best way to go about reducing the size of a PDF file, because images are pretty much the only thing that can be compressed in a PDF.

When you launch PDF Squeezer, you will see a drop-zone. Here, you can drag and drop the PDF file that you want to "squeeze". The application will automatically process the files that you drop using the settings that you established in the Preferences window. The size of the original PDF file will be displayed on the left, and the size of the compressed file on the right. It can happen that your "squeezed" file can become bigger than the original one. This can be the case when the images in the original file have already been compressed or when there are no images.

From the Preferences window, you can adjust how you want to compress images, the size of the preview window and set a postfix to compressed files automatically. This is a good feature so you avoid mixing the compressed and the uncompressed files.

In my testing, I was unable to compress a PDF with this app. The two files that I used to test this app ended up being bigger in size after going through the compression process. But, as it is noted in the FAQ section on the developer's website, this is not a limitation of the application per se.
