PDF Converter Ultimate, developed by Istonsoft, is intended for converting PDF files to other common document, presentation and picture formats. The application’s interface makes it extremely user-friendly so it is improbable that you have difficulty to use it, even if it is your first time. However, in the unlikely event you need help, there is a “how to” guide available online.
The tool supports various target formats, which include HTML, ePub, images, DOCX, plain text, XLSX and PPTX. Luckily, it supports dragging and dropping individual files or even complete folders to create a conversion list. Some target formats also allow picking a conversion mode. For instance, if you intend to convert to ePub format, you can also choose any of the three available modes: Text, Image and Mixed. Likewise, when converting to images, you can select a specific format, like JPG, TIFF, PNG, BMP and GIF. Luckily, the tool lets you indicate the page range you want to process from each individual file.
The tool works extremely fast. Unfortunately, however, it may fail to keep the original layout. At least, that was what happened to me when I converted a PDF to ePub in mixed mode.
All in all, PDF Converter Ultimate supports converting PDF documents to other formats so that you can reuse or edit them with other applications. If you want to try it, you can get a demo version of this product from its developer’s site.
