Opera is a great multi-platform web browser for Mac OS X. It is also available on other platforms. Opera is as fully-featured as Firefox, Chrome and Internet Explorer, and it is frequently being updated and improved.
In terms of performance, Opera is said to be one of the fastest web browsers available. It even tops Chrome 11 and Firefox in memory usage and cold boot time according to some tests by LifeHacker. I noticed first-hand how quick and snappy it is, at least on Mac OS X.
It also has some innovative features, some of which aren't available on other browsers. Perhaps the first one that comes to mind is mouse gestures. By simply holding the right mouse button, you can use your mouse to perform gestures that allow you to go back and forth between pages, browse your open tabs, etc. I like the speed dial window which I always look for on other browsers. It is enabled by default in Opera, and it works like a charm.
One of the drawbacks of Opera is that not all websites are designed to accomodate it. For example, Amazon has a daily deals widget that you just can't see with Opera.
Pros
- Secure
- Customizable
- Fast
Cons
- Not fully supported in all sites
What version of Opera is suitable for Mac 10.13? As it appears this is very secret information. Because it is not available anywhere and I have already downloaded several Opera installation kits, but all of them do not fit to my OS
It can’t even reach YouTube!
I like its speed, but can't get used to its interface. This browser just seems to be not for me. Though it is good.
