Mystery Tales: The Lost Hope brings you an interesting plot where you visit your hometown after you receive an invitation from your brother-in-law. The letter sparks your interest when your sibling mentions your sister who passed away several years ago.
As you embark on your journey you're not fully aware of what's happening in the town. At your arrival you notice that the city was under attack by an evil force, with all its residents in danger. Your new objective is to unravel the mystery surrounding your hometown and rescue as many inhabitants as you can.
There are several tools that come in handy in your exploration. For instance, the built-in journal keeps track of your important notes and information regarding other characters you meet on your journey. What's more, you have access to various hints and an interactive tutorial.
But the thing I like the most is that when clicking over sparkle areas (usually hidden object mini-games), the app lets you choose which type of game you wish to play: hidden object or puzzle.
The one aspect that bothers me is that when you change the mouse cursor style, the pointer disappears for a few seconds. Other than that, I really enjoyed playing this puzzle game.
As a conclusion, I'd say it's worth buying Mystery Tales: The Lost Hope if you're into playing hidden object games with intriguing plots.
