Minesweeper Deluxe is a single-player board game for Mac where your goal is to reveal squares from the grid without detonating any hidden mines.

You need to deduce which of the tiles are mines or safe squares. If you click over a bomb, the game is over; otherwise, a digit is displayed over the square, indicating the number of near-by hidden mines and letting you intuit your next move.

You can choose between four game modes: Beginner, Intermediate, Expert, and Custom. The app lets you select and play the last two gameplay types only if you acquire the full version of the game. If you're new to this type of game, you can always check the integrated help guide.

An advantage of Minesweeper Deluxe is that it protects the first square you reveal, meaning that there's a 0% chance it will be a mine. The things I don't like about playing Minesweeper Deluxe are that it doesn't allow you to save your game progress and that you need to make in-app purchases for additional hints and for the full version of the app.
