MacCleaning Free is a very simple system maintenance tool. It was designed to free up system space by deleting the system cache, user caches, system logs, user logs, and even the trash and the downloads folder.
MacCleaning Free runs on the Menubar, and it displays a green bar that represents the hard drive space used. If more than one hard drive is present on your Mac, the drive in which OS X is installed will be used. To free space up, the app uses a "Fast Clean" option, which deletes all the folders I mentioned above without any user input. I am used to confirming what I want to delete with this kind of apps, and I was surprised when the app didn't ask for my input. This can be good or bad depending on personal preference. I like to confirm what I want to be deleted to make sure nothing important is wasted. In my testing, though, nothing was deleted that I wanted to keep.
From the Menubar menu, you can unmount any of your volumes, without having to open the Finder, which is a nice touch.
In short, MacCleaning Free is a nice app to delete unused system files and to free some hard drive space.
