Mac Shutdown is a shutdown manager for Mac computers. It allows you to define a set of rules for when you want your Mac to be shut down.

The app was designed to help manage unattended Macs that need to be shut down remotely or by following a set schedule.

Mac Shutdown can shut down your Mac in a variety of ways. You can use a schedule to do this. So, you can have your Mac shut down on week days, weekends, every day, or any of the days of the week at a specific time. You can also select a future date and time. Mac Shutdown X can use events to determine when to shut down your Mac. For example, it can do it when a file download finishes in Safari, Firefox, Camino, Netscape or Chrome, or Speed Download, if you use that. There is a neat feature that allows the app to monitor a file on your Mac. If that file is deleted, your Mac will be shut down.

The most interesting feature of the mix is web site monitoring. The application can look for a specific keyboard on a website and turn off your Mac whenever it finds it. So, if you keep a blog or a website, you can simply upload your "keyword" to your site, and Mac Shutdown X will get the message and shut down your Mac.
