Kodi is a feature-rich and open source program for Mac that allows you to watch your favorite movies, browse photo collections, and play your music from the same interface.
The utility brings an appealing main menu from where you can select which type of task you wish to start (watch movie, browse photos, etc.). You can either use the app in its full screen mode (more efficient if you don't wish to get distracted by other running apps) or toggle windowed mode (you can resize the main window according to your needs).
One of the things that caught my attention was the fact that the app provides you with a solution if you wish to watch movies with their correspondent subtitles. If you don't own a subtitle for the video you want to playback, the app helps you find and download one.
Furthermore, this program features an Add-on section where you can find various utilities that could come in handy on a daily basis, like a RSS reader, mail client, etc.
Unfortunately, in my testing, the application crashed each time I tried to preview pictures from a certain folder. The files have extensions compatible with the program so I'm unsure about the source of this problem. Nevertheless, I selected another directory to check if the issue continues to appear, but it wasn't the case (the app allowed me to preview the pictures without crashing the process).
As a conclusion, it's definitely worth installing this program on your Mac. The app provides you with a wide range of useful features, allows you to install various add-ons for extra advantages, and comes without a price tag.

Great source app, for all kinds of Multimedia viewing, but the only ''small'' complaint that I have is that it is a bit difficult to set up your files, since it is set up like a Windows-based directory system.
