Movavi Media Player is, as its name clearly states, an application that enables you to watch movies and play music files on your Mac. This program brings you a straightforward interface, works with a wide variety of media formats, and offers you various playback options.
You can add one file at a time to the app's playlist panel or load entire media folders, sort the selected files in any order you like, enable Repeat and Shuffle options, and much more. The program allows you to watch movies in windowed or fullscreen mode, hide and reveal playlist panel, and select the proper aspect ratio option when playing videos.
This media player also provides you with information regarding the files you add to the playlist.
Nevertheless, this player comes with two disadvantages: it lacks an option to load subtitles when watching movies and it doesn't allow you to save playlists for later.
I'd say it's worth working with Movavi Media Player as long as you don't mind spending a couple of bucks on an app with the aforementioned flaws. However, you can find plenty of similar programs that provide you with more useful features and come without a price tag. So it's up to you whether this app deserves to be installed on your Mac or not.
