Kaleidoscope is an efficient utility created for Mac users who need to compare text files, images, and directories.

This application supports multiple file formats, allows you to compare 2 or more files at the same time, works fast, and offers you accurate results.

You can drag-and-drop the files or folders you wish to compare over its interface. The program takes a small amount of time to analyze the contents of the selected files or directories and offers you a complete report.

I tested the application by importing two different RTF files. The utility immediately displayed the selected text files in two separated panes and marked the discrepancies. You can copy the text content from one pane to another or merge them into a single file.

I also imported two pictures, with different extensions. A thing I liked a lot was that the application offered me various ways to compare the images. You can put one image on top of another, split the pictures and drag a bar from one corner to another, etc.

Another important advantage is the fact that the program comes with a comprehensive help manual. This guide might prove to be of good use if you're new with this type of applications.
