jAlbum might prove to be of good use to people with little experience in creating online photo albums. This program provides you with a simple solution for generating quality photo albums which you can upload to your website or share with your friends.

The utility is compatible with a lot of media formats, gives you access to various output options, and supports drag-and-drop actions. Simply import your photos and videos, configure the output settings according to your needs, and publish your project.

In addition, jAlbum brings you built-in image editing capabilities, comes with several quality project templates, and lets you choose between various sorting options for the imported content.

A disadvantage is that some of the output settings might be difficult to locate. So, a built-in help manual wouldn't hurt. Another thing that bothers me is the fact that it occasionally runs slow, especially when importing media file or generating projects that contain video files.

Still, jAlbum gives you access to quality output files and provides you with a quick way to share your work. It's up to you to decide if it's worth buying the utility for your Mac or look for other online photo albums creators.

There's nothing else quite like jAlbum for producing professional-looking photo albums for your website, quickly, and without a lot of mucking about. The default settings are generally excellent, but if you want to start customizing, you're not restricted in what you can do.

The video processing is using ffmpeg, so its speed is comparable to most other video-manipulating applications. There are no shortcuts when you're dealing with mammoth video files.
