IMCapture for Skype (formerly SkypeCap) is a conversation recording tool. It allows you to record the audio and video of a conversation and save it to an audio or video file that you can then play on most multimedia players. It is claimed that IMCapture for Skype can record any call that can be made with Skype. This includes calls to landlines, cell phones, and Skype to Skype calls.
This recorder can record your calls in the following formats: Quicktime Movies (MOV), MPEG4, MPEG, VOB, PSP MPEG4, SWF and FLV.
From what I could gather on the Forums, you can't record video for both parties in a call. You can only record one side of the call.
When I tested this app, it didn't work for me. I have the latest version of Skype and I downloaded the latest version of IMCapture for Skype. Apparently, the application only works with Skype 2.8 and a new release that works with the current version of Skype will be released in a couple of weeks from now. Right now, Skype fails to launch when you install IMCapture for Skype.
Although the app didn't work for me (although they are listing Skype 5.1 support on their website), they have Forums with lots of help for every little problem you can think of. This might be a good or bad thing depending on how you look at it. I like to think that they support their users and that's why there are so many discussions on there.
