As probably any other iTunes users, I find it annoying to have duplicated tracks in my playlist. This situation often occurs when I sync my iPhone or iPod with my Mac. A great solution for this issue comes from iCleanup, a simple to use program that helps you get rid of all duplicated songs from your iTunes library.
Even though iTunes comes with a built-in duplicate finder, I wouldn't suggest you to use it mostly because it's time-consuming. The only way to remove the duplicated files is one by one. iCleanup deletes all found duplicates with only a few clicks.
A good thing about using this program is that it gives you access to three file removal methods: move all tunes to Trash, permanently delete them or simply remove them from your iTunes library. Also, if you're not sure if the found files are real duplicates, you can use the integrated audio player and listen to the tunes before removing them.
The way I see it, iCleanup is a smart addition to my collection of program, as it offers me a simple solution for finding duplicated tracks within the iTunes library.
