Hides is a program designed for Mac users who wish to boost up their productivity and protect your privacy by immediately hiding unneeded running apps from their screen. This Menu Bar utility is extremely simple to handle, uses hardly any CPU resources while it's running in the background, and immediately applies the necessary changes to your desktop.
You can configure the application to automatically launch at system login, define global hotkeys for hiding the windows of all running apps, and enable the Display Notifications option if necessary. In my testing, everything worked as expected as the program immediately hid all opened windows from my desktop.
Another good aspect about this Mac utility is the fact that it brings an option (Single App Mode). Once you enable it, whenever you click on an app's icon or window, the program hides all other running tools from the view.
Personally, I would've liked this program more if there was also an option to hide all icons from my desktop (a feature that comes in handy if you wish to immediately record the screen activity). Furthermore, the app lacks a button for unhiding apps (you need to click over each hidden app to reveal it).
All in all, Hides comes with a very reasonable price and some Mac users might find it very useful during their work hours. So, it's up to you to decide whether it's worth installing this program on your computer or not.
